Ms. Heena Dave has been awarded Dr. Benjamin L. Van Duuren Award for the paper which is going to be presented at 101st Annual Meeting of American Association for Cancer Research at Washington DC, USA during April 17th – April 21st, 2010. She is amongst one of the three awardees in 2010 from amongst Indian and African Fulbrighters in the fields of natural sciences and public health.

The title of her presentation is: Transforming growth factor beta as potential prognostic biomarker of breast cancer: Evidence of ‘TGF-ß switch'. With Abstract Number: 1754. This work was carried out at our institute and is a part of her Ph. D. thesis.  

She was awarded ‘Fulbright Doctoral and Professionalfellowship' by US Department of State and ‘Institute of International Education' (IIE). She had joined Weill Cornell University – Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences, New York, NY, USA to study in Medical Sciences for 9 months starting from Sept. 2009 and is currently working there.
