Golden Jubilee Celebration of Gujarat Cancer Society started with presentation of fund raising fashion show by Shymal Bhumika at Karnawati Club lawn on 18th December,2010. Bollywood stars Saif Ali Khan and Miss Sonakshi Sinha along with 34 models displayed traditional and modern designer dress from Gujarat and Rajasthan.

We gratefully recalled the veshbhusha-fashion show arranged by Inner wheel club of Rotary on 18th December,1960 at newly started first star hotel of city- Cama Hotel. This show conducted under leadership of Mrs.Nandini Munsha and savings of Rs.5000/ led to creation of Gujarat Cancer Society under the chairmanship of the first Governor Of Gujarat ,H.E Shri Mahedi Navaz Jung.
