Novartis and The Max Foundation is providing free Glivec Tablet (Imatinib Tablet) to patients of Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia at Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute for last 7 years. To thank the foundation, Friend’s of Max Meeting was organized at Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute on 20th February, 2010, Saturday. The meeting was organized for the third time in this institute. More than 1600 patients are getting free Glivec Tablet. The market value of one month’s treatment with Imatinib tablet is Rs. 10,000/- for generic brand and Rs. 1.00 Lac for the original brand. The programme was attended by 205 patients.
