Following posters were presented at Oncocon 2009 at Chennai from 13–15 Febuary 2009.

Title No 1:

Preliminary experience of Melphalan, Prednisolone and Thalidomide in newly diagnosed patients of multiple myeloma in GCRI. Conclusion:

Present study shows Overall Response (OR) of 75% with manageable toxicity and an incremental cost of INR. 500 per month by addition of Thalidomide to the standard MP regimen.

Title No 2:
Our experience with MVP chemotherapy in advanced Non Small Cell Lung Cancer and comparison with other standard doublets.( Presented by Dr Gopal Sharma)
Conclusion:

MVP chemotherapy appears to be well tolerated, cost effective alternative to other standard doublets.

Title No 3:
Bilateral Retinoblastoma GCRI data between 2001 -2008.( Presented by Dr Abhishek)
Conclusion:

Bilateral Retinoblastoma accounted for 14 % of all retinoblastoma. Majority presented late and had stage IV disease. Chemoradiation was the main treatment used and better outcome is expected as a result of teamwork at our institute.

Neuroblastoma at Pediatric Oncology Centre GCRI,data from 2001 to 2005.( Presented by Dr Tushar).
Conclusion:
Improved outcomes exected due to availability of school health and HSCT at GCRI.
Title No 5:
Retrospective analysis of prognostic factors related to carcinoma cervix stage III treated with radiotherapy.( Presented by Dr Ankita Parikh)
Conclusion:
Hemoglobin concentration, tumor size, parametrial involvement are prognostic facors related to ca cervix.
Title No 6:
Metastatic carcinoma breast with unusual presentation.( Presented by Dr P.K. Talukdar)
Conclusion:
Conclusion- Bone metastasis is common but mandibular metastasis very uncommon. Similarly dural metastasis is very uncommon.
